C-mail: Contraceptives by Mail

Tired of making a trip to the clinic every month? Let PPGI save you time and money! Enroll in our c-mail program to have your birth control pills or patches automatically mailed to you every month. We pay the postage! What could be easier?

C-mail is convenience.
All women who use the pill or patch as their birth control method are eligible for PPGI’s new c-mail (“contraceptives by mail”) program. With c-mail, your birth control pills or patches are automatically mailed to you each month (after you enroll) and Planned Parenthood pays the postage!

How does it work?
C-mail is available to all women who use the pill or the patch. You must be a PPGI patient to participate in c-mail. Each month your pills or patches are automatically mailed and your insurance is automatically billed (if you pay a co-pay, your credit card also will be charged). If you self-pay, your credit card is automatically charged.

How do I sign up for c-mail?
You need to be seen at one of our 17 clinics to be enrolled in the c-mail program if you are a new patient. Existing patients have the option or enrolling at the clinic OR over the phone (not come into the clinic). At the clinic or over the phone, you (or one of our staff) will complete the C-Mail Enrollment Form with your contact information and your mailing address. We can mail to your home address or another address, if you prefer. Once you are enrolled, your next cycle will be mailed directly to you. Since the pills/patches are mailed automatically, there is no need to call UNLESS you need to update your mailing address.

Great things about c-mail:
• You don’t have to pick up your pills or patches! Instead of traveling to the clinic, you just pick up your mail.
• You’ll have the next cycle when you need it. Starting the next cycle right away is important for ensuring the effectiveness of the pills/patches and preventing pregnancy.
• Convenience for no extra cost! Once the pills/patches are paid for by your insurance or credit card, they’re mailed to you at no charge.

What you won’t have to do:
You won’t need to visit your Planned Parenthood clinic every month (and you might miss us!). However, we invite you to stop in anytime or call with questions. Even if we don’t see you as often, we’re still here whenever you need us.

How long can I use c-mail?
The c-mail program will send your birth control for the full prescription (generally, one year). Once the prescription is up, please come in for an annual exam and we’ll refill your prescription and send your pills/patches for another year.

Why did PPGI start the c-mail program?
Planned Parenthood knows that when women have birth control, they use it. That’s why we’re making it easy for you to have birth control without having to remember it or make a special trip.
