Swing Vote

Swing Vote is about a presidential election that comes down to one man's vote. He is a “nobody” who accidentally becomes the voice for everybody when the world realizes that his vote will be the one that elects the next president. Politicians invade his small town and its unwitting inhabitants, waging war for his vote.

Like any real presidential election, abortion is a hot button issue in the film. A large Planned Parenthood banner is featured in a scene in which many individuals and several organizations are camped outside the man’s home in an attempt to influence his vote.

And unlike the very real presidential election, the future will not be determined by one man, but by each and everyone one of us who goes to the polls this November.

"Luckily, we actually do live in a world where every vote matters,” says Planned Parenthood supporter Paula Patton, who plays the female lead, journalist Kate Madison. “The fate of women's health and the right to choose are in your hands. Elect public officials who care about you and your family. VOTE!"

Swing Vote also stars Kevin Costner, Stanley Tucci (Planned Parenthood Board of Advocates member), Kelsey Grammer, Nathan Lane, George Lopez, and Dennis Hopper.
